OK, well i have a cat here with its tail has been cut or either bitten off about 4inches from the end but the tail bone is still there its just the skin has that has been removed. I want to know how or what i can do to stop the bleedind of its tail?

If you can wrap it with gauze to protect it while you are on your way to the emergency clinic (which is where you should be heading IMMEDIATELY), that should help.

This is a very painful injury and requires surgery. Get kitty to the vet!

Oh yes please take kitty to the vet immediatly!!! When I was little the same thing happened to my kitty (he got his tail in the door hinge and we closed the door not knowing) and the vet had to shorten his tail a little. We did not have lots of money, so the first day my dad just wrapped it up in gauze but kitty kept chewing it off. So the vet removed the end of the tail and stitched it up nicely the next day. Please keep us posted!
