My cat is 6 years old. She was declared when I adopted her. She has had issues with one front paw since I adopted her. She will hold it up and or limp intermittently. I have taken her to the vet multiple times for this. I have been given pain meds each time that do nothing. I recently moved. Took her to a new vet here. She did x-rays and believes her pain is from her declaw. She wants to try gabapentin. She also mentioned laser therapy and possibly acupuncture. Anybody have experience with this? Any suggestions? Should I consider euthanasia? I am so sad thinking she has to live the rest of her life in pain. She has already lived this long with it. I hate that I cannot help her. Thank you in advance.

My cat takes gabapentin for arthritis. Totally takes away her pain.. I mix it in with her wet food and give it to her twice a day.
My son adopted a declawed cat that luckily has not had issues with pain. She does have special litter that's easy on her paws.
