We've had our 1-year old Bengal kitten for several months now, and she's fit into our house very well for the most part.

I knew that Bengal cats were more vocal than most other breeds, and that certainly was the case with her. She's pretty mellow overall but would ceratinly meow when she was excited or hungry or just saying "good morning".

However, we just returned from a three day trip (we had hired a cat-sitter to feed daily) to find her constantly meowing. She cried all thgough the night last night and has continued to do so all day today. In fact, the only time when she's *not* meowing is when she's either eating or sleeping.

Is she still freaked out that we left her for a while? Could she just be angry? Will she calm down as time goes on?

One thing that I'd like to ask...is your Bengal neutered or spayed? If she hasn't been, what she could be doing is a mating call. It's when female cats get in heat and want to mate. My previous cat (who I had to get rid of because her meowing was nonstop and she peed on my bed) had the same problem.
Or, usually when cats cry, they are usually in pain. I recommend taking your Bengal to the vet to see what's wrong.

And last of all, she could be looking for affection from you or wants to play around. Is she lonely? Try playing with her and see what happens after you're finished. Does she still meow? If she does, take her to the vet! :!:

She's definitely spayed so I don't think that's the issue.

You know, after a full day of spoiling her rotten with playtime, dried salmon treats and tummy rubs, she appears to have gone from "super meow" mode to her normal "hey you should pay attention to me" mode.

Guess she was scared/angry about our leaving for the weekend and has now realized that we'll probably be sticking around.
