My wife and I keep going by the local PetSmart. PetSmart hosts a local no-kill shelter that brings cats by daily for viewing. At night, the cats get picked up by their foster parents.

Tonight we went by before a movie and saw two brothers and a sister with mom in the next cage. They were the most friendly and playful cats I have seen in a while. All of them were 4 months and mom was 1 1/2 years old. We got to hold one and that was all she wrote...I filled out the adoption papers but we have one problem....the holidays.

We planned to go out of town for Thanksgiving and we have to go out of town for Christmas as well (brother in law is getting married). We're pretty sure we could get someone to look in on them but don't know if we should rush it right now. We had planned on waiting until after Christmas, but these guys were really great (and one was the exact color I wanted).

How can you say no?

Do you have a trust-worthy friend or relative that would be willing to watch kitty over the holidays? Or can you bring kitty with you? I'd personally 'try' to wait. But really, how can you say no? lol

Which one is the one you like? I like the first cause I have a Tux as well

I know...I should probably wait and here I thought I was going to be the voice of reason against my wife!

Newt was an all black kitty, but I have always been partial to the grey with black stripes. :)

Aww they are so cute! I would definitely take it as a sign that you find the kitties that you've been looking for, color and everything. Hopefully if you do get it, you can either take them with you if they like car rides or find someone to take care of them while you are away. Either way, let us know what you do!

We're going to send in the paperwork for adoption today and see what happens. We may be able to get them to stay with the foster parents through Thanksgiving and then pick them up.

Baxter (the tuxedo) and Albert.

For Thanksgiving we are going to have the neighbors look in on them, we decided to cut the trip to two days same for Christmas but we will be gone for four days. Our neighbors on both sides have cats and are very anxious to meet the new additions. :)

Thanks all! Yes, they are brothers. Albert (the striped) is very high wired and likes to play alot. Baxter (tuxedo) is laid back and likes to be held. We can't wait! Gotta go get new supplies on Friday.

I'll take some pics and post when they are here.
