Hi, I haven't been around in a long while because things were going so well. We took our cat Sylvetre to the vet for a check up and to get his rabies shot. They found he needs his teeth cleaned. He's 5 years old now. I'm scared of him being put under. How did you handled the first time? What are the risks that he won't wake up?

At 5 years old, he should be fine. I need to take Cleo in soon. She's has bad teeth since birth. I don't even know how many times she's had dentals, always with teeth being extracted. Even at 13 years old, I'm not worried about the anesthesia. I may need it myself, though, when I get the bill.

Cali was 11 when her leg was amputated. Of course, I was freaking out because of the operation, but not the anesthesia part.

But I know we all worry about our cats, because there are risks with every procedure. Good thoughts being sent your way for Sylvetre.
