After treating Guster for diabetes for five months, we received word yesterday from our vet that his latest blood work showed he was in remission and we could stop insulin injections!!!

When we first found out he was diabetic, we were scared of how treating him would go. However, it became second nature and we loved seeing the insulin work in him to turn our 13 year old tabby back into a playful kitten!

Now that we got the news we were ultimately hoping for when we started down this road (remission), we find ourselves with a new sense of anxiety - making sure Guster stays in remission.

Our vet gave us information about what to look for that would indicate a relapse.

Aside from that, does anyone have any tips / advice that helped them as their cat transitioned into a remission phase?
