Toby seems to be eating okay and everything else seems well, but his diarrhea (really water-like) has persisted since he got sick 3 days ago. I'm waiting for a call back form the vet. They didn't check his stool when I brought him in 3 days ago, as he never goes outside alone nor has he gotten in anything outside, and he was clean on his visit 2 months ago

But I'd like to hear your experience as to diarrhea just going away on it's own.

You might want to have him checked for T. Foetus. It's a parasite that is not as common as the usual culprits (coccidia, giardia, worms) and requires a different test. I mention it because it is somewhat prevalent in Bengals. You might want to check with your breeder to see she's had an outbreak in her cattery, even if it was many months ago as the organism can be shed for quite a while after the diarrhea is resolved.
