So, my cats have 3 different levels of attention need. Sully has always been kind of demanding, but now that we have the kitten he seems so normal lol. Jack the kitten needs so much attention its crazy! I wonder if he'll grow out of it, or if he is just always going to be in your face love me now kind of cat. Ella on the other hand, likes a little bit of loving on her own time, but thats it.

The question is, do you ever feel like your spending all your time with the needier cats and not enough time with the less needy cats? I know its their choice most of the time, but I just feel so bad. I feel bad when Ella is sitting in the window just watching as the other cats jump up in my lap and force themselves upon me whenever they want no matter what I am doing. They just naturally get more attention than Ella. Maybe its because the other two are boys and therefore more demanding? Maybe she just doesnt care? I don't know, but I love her the same as them but feel like I dont show her enough... maybe this sounds crazy, but does anyone else ever feel like this? Like the less needy cats get less from us?

Yeah, I get this a lot. Timmy is quite independent while Gordon is really playful and loves company. There'll be times where I'll be playing with Gordon for ages, wonder where Timmy is and he'll be in the kitchen quietly looking out the window and the guilt kills me. I know Timmy prefers to play and be affectionate on his own terms but I do sometimes feel like a bad mother :(

No, my cats let me know when they want attention. I also have limited time so they get what I can give. However, my oldest daughter is home with them all day so she lavishes attention and plays with them a lot more than I do. They get their fare share...believe me!

I do respect their individual personalities. If it were up to Lacey, she would be sitting on your lap all day long and carried back and forth from the litter box and food dishes. She would only get up when she's in the mood for play. Egypt and Azalia only like attention and affection on their terms, which works out just fine.
