If you answer 'yes' for the majority of these question, that means your cat really does own you! :D

1.Does your desire to collect cats intensify during times of stress?
2.Do you buy more than 50 pounds of cat litter a month?
3.Do you scoop out the litter box after each use? Do you wait at the box with the scoop in your hand?
4.Do you think it's cute when your cat swings on the drapes or licks the butter?
5.Do you admit to non-cat owners how many cats you really have?
6.Do you sleep in the same position all night because it annoys your cats when you move?
7.Do you kiss your cat on the lips?
8.Do you feed your cat tidbits from the table with your fork?
9.Does your cat sit at the table (or ON the table) when you eat?
10.Does your cat sleep on your head? Do you like it?
11.Do you have more than four opened but rejected cans of cat food in the refrigerator?
12.Do you watch bad TV because the cat is sleeping on the remote?
13.Will you stand at the open door indefinitely in the freezing rain while your cat sniffs the door, deciding whether to go out or come in?
14.Do you give your cat presents and a stocking at Christmas? Do you spend more for your cat than you do for your spouse?
15.Do the Christmas cards you send out feature your cat sitting on Santa's lap? Does your cat sign the card?
16.Do you put off making the bed until the cat gets up?
17.At the store, do you pick up the catfood and kitty litter before you pick out anything for yourself?
18.Do you cook a special turkey for your cat on holidays?
19.Do you have pictures of your cat in your wallet? Do you bring them out when your friends share pictures of their children?
20.When someone new comes to your house, do you introduce your cat, by name, to them?

I adore these babies and I am guilty of it all!!!!

I sent out birthday announcements (3pages long) to celebrate their first birthday! All my friends and family think I'm nuts. You decide.

It has been my experience that people who love and respect animals are the same ones who love and respect their fellow humans. It's a true sign of unselfishness and decency, the kinds of things that this world needs more of.

I agree. If only everyone treated animals like the way most of us do. Think of how different the world would be.

I don't know how many others feel about this type of thing but if I'm watching TV and happen across a program showing humans suffering in war-torn countries, people without enough food or water...I can seem to detach myself from it somehow, but when I see an animal suffer, it pains me deeply for days afterwards. Is it that I don't care for my fellow humans? No, because I know in my heart that I am a compassionate man.
I assume it's more of a desire to protect those who cannot protect themselves. The only thing that can match my distain for animal cruelty is the thought a child being abused.

I just find it a little disturbing that I can put aside human suffering but not the suffering of animals. Is that weird of what?

Max&Ben, to tell you the truth, that’s exactly how I feel. It might sound mean, but I feel more sorry for animals being abused then humans. To me, it’s probably because people can stop the abuse, they can tell someone about it. Where as with cats or dogs or with any animal, their suck until someone speaks up or finds them. I feel sick to my stomach when I read or hear a story about animals being abused by human. I just finished writing to letter to my newspaper about animal abuse. I hope it proves my point.

I know what you mean. I think it might be because we veiw animal as helpless and totaly subject to the cruel whims of others.(and children) but people as having more control over there own situations. If this is true or not......
