I was wondering if anyone has a doggy door that is electronically activated, so that a special collar would be required to open it. I think I've seen them, but I'm not sure where. I'm looking for one that will allow the dog out, but not the cat. Does anyone have something like this or know where I can locate one?

Thanks,
Juli.

Juli - I've never heard of such a door - but it sounds like a really good item.
Your question made me laugh about our pet door.
I just had to share these pics of our black lab trying to get through the kitty door.

I have never heard of a door like that, but I would be a great idea.
Loved the photo, Weesie! The cats look quite amused watching the door try to make it though their door!

Those are pretty funny pictures. :D I think I found something like what I'm looking for. I was hoping someone had used one, because it's hard to tell how well something like that will work. The only problem with this one is that it doesn't have a setting for both in and out, it's in only, out only, or free access.

We have one like that over here it is a cat flap through designed to stop strays coming into you house, not sure if it would suit you dog though,
