Our 12 year old Burmese Cat who had always been rather large has become very thin over the last two months. We have been to the Vet and blood tests do not reveal anything obvious. He has been wormed and although vomited a few times has no other physical symptoms.

He is eating although not much and has had his teeth checked for decay and his mouth for lesions. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

And how much does he urinate?

Has your cat been tested for Hyperthyroidism? This speeds up their metabolism and causes weight loss in cats I would definitely check this out with your vet. My cat has just recently lost some weight also and is currently being tested for the same thing. Good Luck!
