Hey there,

I was wondering something and maybe someone here has had experience with these brands and can tell me about them.

My kitty is almost 6 months old, we've had him for about 3 and a half months now. Since we got him we've been giving him Nutrience for kittens (http://www.hagen.com/canada/english/cats/nutrience/catfoodguide.html) but then there's also Whiskas food (http://www.whiskas.com/whi/usa/food/dry.htm), that looks cool 'cause it's got different flavours, etc. It's also half the price but that's not really important  Have you used these brands of foods? Are they equally good?

I think I've to stick to Nutrience for the time being 'cause he's only 6 months old. Till when do they need kitten food? I'm guessing about 1 year...

Under my (strict!) standards neither of these foods would pass. Nutrience has corn as the second ingredient, and Whiskas is made of by-products.

Here is a guide that will help you understand what the ingredients are, and how to pick the best foods for your kitty:
