EverClean or Scoop Away or other suggestions...

I wanted to try EverClean or Scoop Away cat litter and I was interested in knowing which of them is what can be considered "crumble-free". I tried the Tidy Cats Small Spaces and I LOVED the odor control but the clumping ability was ZERO. It broke apart very easily. I need to buy litter and I haven't tried these two.

Any suggestions on a really hard clumping litter?

EverClean is a MUCH healthier choice for cats and a much better choice for your house as well.
I don't know if there is a dustier cat litter than Scoop Away. It's so bad it can make cats sick. And what it does to the house is enough to make a person cry.
No problem with the way EverClean clumps, it's wonderful, you will have no complaints.

Meowmie, thanks for your suggestion. I'm just curious as to why EverClean is healthier? What makes it better than most?

I've tried the "natural" ones, such as World's Best, Feline Pine, Swheat Scoop, but they just didn't work for odor and/or the cats didn't like them and that's why I've switched to conventional clumping cat litter.

Thanks.

EverClean is as close to completely dust-free as you can get.
It's the dust that causes health problems, in sensitive cats it can cause wheezing and even trigger an asthma attack.
Since allergic reactions usually develop over time, as a preventive measure, dust-free litter is definitely a good, safe choice.

If you can't find it at PetCo or PetsMart, you will find it at smaller, independently owned pet supply stores. Check out several of those stores because some charge a lower price than others, so it's worth finding out who has the best price in your area.

I use Feline Fresh scoopable and it is awesome. I think it does well for odor control and is a great clumping litter. It is pine based. It is dust free and environmentaly safe. Can even be flushed (even though I don't).

I went out and bought the EverClean litter and I'm impressed and sold on it. Nothing I've tried before clumps that well and I have a "corner-peeing" cat which makes it harder for the clump to remain together when scooping and this stuff really works. It IS virtually dust-free which is great because one of my cats has asthma and works great on odor. I bought the Scented Extra Strength formula. It's a bit more expensive, but definitely worth every penny.

Betsy, I LOVE it. Odor control is excellent and clumping ability is awesome. The litter doesn't even wet through to the bottom of the box. It quickly clumps and dries, so no dirty wet paws either.

I don't normally shop at Petco because it is a bit farther from me, but their website shows that they do carry it, you may want to call your local Petco and find out. The EverClean website says it IS carried at Petco.

I have seen it at Petsmart, Pet Supplies Plus and Pet Supermarket.
