I have mother and son kitties. Both are a beautiful gray and white, and both cause everyone who sees them to comment on how beautiful they are, even the vets who see dozens of cats a day.

Both of them also have the same brown lining around their eyes and ears, with shades of brown in patches around their faces:

Is this... I don't know, normal? I've never seen it before, so I was just wondering if it might be characteristic of a certain breed of cat, or what? It definitely enhances their beauty greatly. If anyone knows anything about it, I'd appreciate some ideas :)

Aww, Stix is pretty :)

No one has any ideas? There's not even a name for it?

I could identify lots of dog colors/patterns, but not really good with kitties...

I think it's a tabby marking.
Your baby looks like my Milo, he has similar markings.
Chucky also has them and is a grey tabby Maine Coon. :)
