I've been reading other people who are having the same problem. I feed cats where I work. I give them dry cat food before going into my office. I check it when I come to see if I need to refill for the evening. What is left in their bowl is covered with flies. Each day there seem to be more and more and even more. Their food is black with them! I read about diatomaceous earth food grade. Has anyone tried using this stuff? I don't understand how it will keep flies away? It said it will cause them to dehydrate and they will die, but there are billions of flies so how does that stop them?? Help, please. I feel so bad for the little guys :(

You're feeding them too much if food is left in the bowl. I'd cut back what you're feeding them so that they finish it all.
