Poor fuel eficiency. Maybe it needs an oil change?

How old is your cat? Is he neutered? Has he just gotten over a cold? A little more info and we might be able to help you bit.

Try splitting up his meals.

Half of his daily amount in the morning, and then the other half before bed.

What food are you feeding him, and approximatly his weight (is he over/underweight, or in good health)?

And you are positive that the food you are feeding did not suddenly change something about their formula? If this persists and he continues to eat more and more, it would be a good call to take a visit to your vet.
