Have a cat who wandered up on my patio about 6 months ago. We have been feeding him and giving him a place to sleep. He is a beautiful coal black tom, not neutered. Last week we decided we were going to take him in so I took him to the vet for leuk test, shots and castration. I also wanted him secure over the Halloween holiday. The vet called Friday and said the "snap" test they did for Leuk showed positive. I read up on it on the internet and called the vet back. They said they woud do additional testing that would be sent off to a lab. They called me Saturday and said they had some results, but not the total tests, what they got back was not definite for leuk. They are boarding "Blackboy" until they get all the tests back. Has anyone else ever had a test back that was first positive and then :?: doubtful? I hate to put him down as he is a beautiful cat, and has finally found a good home with us. I do have 5 inside cats, he is still an outside cat.
