Wow, my 7 month old siberian forest cat has been a very finicky eater. But I am on to something now. I tried awhile back to do raw -- and he he was good for a week then started throwing up... so I went back to good quality kibble and canned. However, I always wanted to go back to raw. I slowly took away the kibble and moved to canned.. then he became finicky with canned... ugh... so I am now using Call of the Wild supplement that I am adding to raw chunked up meat. OMG!! He comes running for his 3 meals a day and he licks his plate clean. He adores his food! Complete turn around. I am beginning to incorporate meats other than chicken... he likes pork and I am going to try turkey and beef...

I think I will continue this route with possibly a sardine once a week for omega 3 -- but I am just so excited that he is eating!!! Maybe in the future frankenprey... but for now this is totally working and I am thrilled!

The ground bone is in the Call of the Wild Supplement by Wysong. So, for now this is where he is getting the bone he needs. I will possibly incorporate a 1/4 of a cornish hen of quail later on. But for now this is how I want to proceed.

Congrats Remy. LOL unless you have been there no one knows the elation you get from finally managing to get your cat on raw, and them loving it. My friends think I'm nuts when I update them on things my cat will now eat, and the quality of her fur after six weeks.

You know you can go all natural without the supplements if you incorporate some ground egg shell (1/4 tsp per 100gs) or bone meal, with some organs too (no more than 30g a week). I use the blender to purée kidney and liver 50/50, and put it in small portions into little bags for later use. I don't consider heart an organ as it is more muscle, however it is an excellent source of taurine, but I must admit I do have some taurine powder that I give my cat every day (500mgs). This is because usually all her food gets frozen, and the freezing can make taurine levels deplete.
