I was at Wegmans last night to do some weekly grocery shopping.

They had out some hearts and gizzard packages out.

Tyson: Chicken Gizzards & Hearts

When I got home, I end up putting a few of them in some boiling water for about 10 minutes to clean any nasty stuff off of them.

When the Hearts and Gizzards cooled down, I gave them to Gadget. He seemed to love them!

I refrigerated the rest of the cooked Gizzards and Hearts and froze the uncooked ones.

I agree with hoofmaiden. Just give it to them raw. No need to cook....esp not cooked bones!

There is no reason to cook them! Cats have stomachs made specifically to handle raw meat, a little bacteria included! Just toss it down and let him have at it!

Ditto! Cooking raw meat destroys the nutrients, so your cat will appreciate them au-natural! Figaro enjoys gizzards, but he loves the hearts more haha. Keep up the good work, it's always fun branching out into raw and seeing how instinctively cats take to it.
