I'll be taking Sir Dustin to the vet for the first time since I adopted him soon. He obviously saw a vet when his leg was amputated 2 1/2 years ago. He was so scared and unsocialized in the beginning we called a visiting vet to check him out. Now, he's doing quite well and is even a pest looking for attention, but he's still quite skittish and scared of strangers.

Any suggestions to make the trip easier and less stressful for him?

Some ppl like to use Feliway in the carrier. When I bring mine to the vet, I have treats with me and all though the ride I talk to them in my 'soothing' voice. That seems to be enough for them so I'm not sure what else you can do if you're is more skittish.
