Hi, I’m not sure how this website works but I had a question for all of you. I have a cat who’s 11 years old and I noticed a month or so ago that she has a freckle looking thing in her eye. She has no discharge or redness or flinching, etc. My mom won’t take her to the vet this month because we’ve taken her twice already relating to other health conditions regarding her asthma (which we’re treating). The vet didn’t say anything but I’m not sure they noticed it. I’m not sure if there’s a way I can diagnose this or figure it out myself for right now. I’ve taken these pictures to see if it’ll grow in the next few months but I’m not sure if this should be something to worry about or something small and little. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like what's called "Iris Melanosis", often present in older cats (my 14 yr. old cat has one eye affected). Sometimes the spot is benign, and sometimes it is not and could spread to other areas . Have your vet check it out.

I had a cat that had such a freckle. She lived to be 15 and was healthy right up until the cancer got her. It's nothing to worry about.
