[Konotashi]

I was looking at cat food, and we want to feed Matrix Innova canned food.

He's quite a hefty cat. We haven't weighed him yet, but my guess is that he's over 20 lbs.

We were planning to start him on Innova's low fat canned cat food. Is that a good choice?

i'm not sure about the brand, but i heard that diet foods may not be good for weight loss in cats since they may be low calorie but high in carbs and aside from the fact that cats don't need carbs, they also get converted to fat in their system.

i would try switching to a grain-free (low in carbs) canned food if you can (some popular brands include evo, and wellness) , and possibly a raw diet.

Evo is made by Innova. It's just a different line.

How about Weruva? It is low in calories and no grain....good stuff!

I've heard about Weruva, but didn't know any stores near us that sold it.
