Hi, thanks in advance for any help and advice! My cat cinder is just over a year old and is very active. She needs someone to wrestle with my our older cat doesn't want to play with her because she has so much energy. I can't get another cat as I am in an apartment and I don't want her attacking my hand all the time. She has a couple kicker toys but because they don't fight back she looses interest pretty quickly. Anyone know of a good alternative?

Yes, you definiely don't want to let her use your hands. A better alternative is a wand toy with feathers on the end of it. Flick it around like a bird is flying, but let her catch it from from to time. You can wear her out with a good play session for about 15 mins. or so. Always put the wand toy away in a closet or somewhere she can't get at it, as a lot of cats will want to eat the feathers....not good--may cause a blockage. Some cats like those toys that has a ball in a track that the cat can bat around. Often just stuff around the house is attractive to cats empty cartons, egg cartons, empty spools, ping pong balls --- some cats enjoy batting them around in a bath tub. A slim piece of rope or heavy string that can be dragged on the flow in a snake-like manner. You don't want any toy that is small enough to be swallowed. Some cats will retrieve a little stuffed toy and want you to throw it again and again.
