Ok, Nito is actually very good at walking on a leash. When he was younger, we used to use the harness that BunBun uses, which is mean for bunnies. He had no problem with it. But now he's outgrown it. I spent a while looking around for a new harness that would fit him and still be comfortable. See, he has these narrow, boney, slightly jutting shoulders (just the way he is built) and many harnesses are uncomfortable to him. I can tell by the way he walks when it is on. Even when loose, it still bothers him.
So, what I would like to know: What are some brands/styles that are more comfortable for kitty but still effective (and modestly priced) ?
Here is a picture of Nito wearing it
And here is a picture showing the style of it as far as shape and how it's worn
It's that stripe along the top, that connects the neck loop area to the underarm loop area, that seems to bother him, as it rubs awkwardly on his boney shoulders.
This sounds like a situation ideal for a walking jacket. Here's just one I had bookmarked, but I'm sure you can find more different styles by googling:
the breeder I adopted from uses the jackets.
not only do they comfortably secure the cat,
but you can also lift the cat by it's handle.
I used them during my cats 4 hour trip from
Virginia to New York by Plane, and they were
secure and comfortable despite being thin and
squirmy little devils. I only use that H-harness
while I bath my cat, since I need secure them
while exposing most of their skin to shampoo.
I can email my breeder where she got hers
but it may take a few days to get a reply.
They had kennel information on them, so
they may have been a promotional item.
Those of us that have indoor cats - I guess a fair few of us have cat trees. Lukas is very much an indoor boy (always has been apparently - I adopted him about two weeks ago). So anyway. I'd love to see cat tree pics. Here are the ones I brought for Lukas.
Hello all,
I really want to buy a microchip cat door (both of our cats are chipped). The product I was looking at is called is by sure pets and called the microchip pet door (not the cat door--our cats are large males). I don't want to install it in our actual patio door, but would rather...
One of our kittens has two different color eyes. She is very young, just over 6 weeks. One eye is blue, the other green. I know their eyes continue changing until almost 6 months, but what are the chances they will stay different colors or is it normal for one to change before the other?
I am on...
I thought it might be interesting to try a kangaroo shirt to see if any of my growing brood would like it.
When I look around, I cannot find anything suitable for men. Putting aside the cat's ears on many of the hoodies, even the "unisex" ones I see are sized for women. I see a lot of...
At the county fair a booth was selling a fur brush called Love2Pet and they were talking up the accolades. My cats didn't seem to like a wire brush and I am using an all rubber brush right now but not thrilled with it. Amazon only has 41 reviews but basically all good. Anyone used this brush?
