I was forced to move apartments without notice, it was a whole ordeal.
My cats have been with fosters for the past 10 weeks.
I got one back yesterday and just noticed a problem with one of her hind paws. I was giving her claws a trim and noticed one of her toes has been pushed down and the claw is resting between her toe pads.
She's getting around without problems but doesn't want me holding her foot. It does look like there is a scab.
I'm stunned to say the least. And my heart is dropping because thanks to my sudden move a massive vet bill is going to seriously stretch my budget. I want to be prepared for what the vet might say.
Has anyone ever seen this?
What was the treatment?

My cat had a dislocated toe. The vet put ut back in place and cleaned it up. There was an infection probably due to rubbing. She's still playing, not favoring her foot at all. She did go hide under the bed for a while. She received antibiotics and pain killers and will be rechecked in 2 weeks. 10 hours following her treatment her toe is still in the correct position so it seems like she'll be okay. I was so worried and disturbed by her injury but it was a quick, if painful, fix.
