whenever he lays down eyes closed,

and i move from my seat/bed he always wakes up.

even if he is sleeping on top of the tv with the tv still on, he has his eyes closed... but when i get up to go toilet, he detects any bit of movement and wakes up.....

My cat Thomas likes to get into bed with me at night, after coming back from the vet with a lot of parts shaved he gets cold easily. He has cold paws and likes to put them up my pj top. Its a real pain when he's dreaming and twitches his cold paws

LOL I see my kitten sleep all the time. She seems to be getting bigger (lengthwise) everytime I turn around. but she follows me almost everywhere and sleeps in my bed so yeah I usualy see her sleep. They do wake up to the least little noise though. Very alert creatures.
