Hello everyone I am new here.:D I have 3 cats, 9 year old female, a 2 year old male and an 8 month old male. I have been not fed my cats dry food in a long time because they never did well on it. I was feeding quality canned food for years but became unhappy with that also because it caused them other problems. I have recently begun to feed raw specifically rad cat and the two younger cats love it but the older cat will not touch raw food. The problem that I am having is that rad cat is extremely expensive to feed my cats. I came accross a site, hare today who have more reasonable prices and carry chicken as well as rabbit. The rabbit has to be supplemented with taurine. Has anyone used hare today? Do your cats eat the chicken exclusively with no other supplements? It does not seem to available anywhere but on line. My 2 year old threw up when he tried natures variety and I hear that they get the raw food from China. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey Dolphin :) welcome!

We have a whole raw subgroup dedicated to those if us who feed some variation of raw food. I'm sure someone has asked a similar question, so a quick forum search for rad cat or hare today will give you some good results.

Personally my four haven't been fans of the big brand raw, and I was lucky to find s small local company that makes (grinds) meat that works for us. You can also feed cats fairly cheaply if you have an Asian market nearby. Cheaper cuts like heart, tongue, stew meat, chicken necks, ect are easy to find and affordably priced. I fed my kitties that way for a year or so and I still supplement the ground with chunked meats from Asian markets regularly.
