My name is Anna, I live on a small island in Scotland, and am cat mad
I have a beautiful black and white 2 year old cat called Poppy she is adorable, needs a lot of attention and affection, cheeky but so intelligent and I adore her
unfortunately pop isn't too well and needs to go to the vet this week
she has a swollen belly and coughing like she has hairballs in the morning
but doesn't seem to be in pain
she is eating ok though and going to the toilet ok and the vet gave me an appointment for tuesday not a kind of get her in asap but I am still a nervous wreck as I forgot to mention the hairball thing and am really worried it is something really serious
sorry to hijack the thread but just needed to talk to people who understand how your cat is your baby and how stressed you get when they are ill friends and family are sympathetic but don't understand why I am so upset
sorry again hopefully next time I post it will be a happier post
not so much my wee girl as big girl you are beautiful LMAO, the belly is actually fat spread to the mammary glands because she has been spayed
I am apparently feeding her too much and that is with another cat eating her food most days LOL, I have this other cat that is trying to live with us, sleeping in the house any chance it gets, eating all Pops food, although after today I shouldn't complain
I had to laugh at what the vet said, he was so nice about it, although he must have thought I was a complete neurotic cat owner
He took her out of the carrier and said
"well she's not wasting away is she?" LOL and to think I thought she was quite skinny apart from the belly
She had a small irritation in her bronchi, bit like hayfever so he gave her an injection for that and now she is as good as new, well apart from the sulking I am going to get when I cut down her Iams
Again sorry to hijack the thread with my neurotic worrying
