Daisy (3yrs) is Blossoms (6 months) mum, we adopted them about three months ago. The rescue centre took Daisy in from a household where she was one of nine adult cats and was, by all accounts, in a pretty poor way. They had found homes for the rest of her litter, and were keen to home them together as they had formed a strong bond.
Both are timid and took time to trust us, Daisy more than Blossom. They're now very affectionate & playful (with us and each other), do everything together, and are to us, the perfect pets. We got them following the sudden death from kidney failure of our previous cat Millie earlier this year who's loss hit us both hard - still miss her.
Blossom was spayed last Thursday and her mum's having some post vet issues with her, I'll post something in the behaviour thread if I think I need to - got lots of helpful advice from reading threads in there over the last few days so hopefully all will be well.
