My cat has diabetes she was diagnosed early this year ..She is on insulin twice a day twelve hour intervals.. We are supposed to feed her and then give her the shot and then they would like her to not eat until the twelve hours are up and feed her and do the shot.. She is not handling this well... she was always one who would just nibble at her food when she wanted it .. Now she gets her shot and begs for food all day long.. Our vet said give her a little here and there.. just a little..My biggest problem is she will beg for food all day long when its time to feed her she eats very little and then goes to sleep I have to keep waking her and prodding her to eat enough so we can give her the shot..Since all this has started I have been up with her every morning between 3 and 4 am with her wanting to eat I hold her off to her feeding time of 530 then she eats a little bit and goes off to sleep again and I have to go thru it all over again.. I am losing it .. I love her and I dont want to lose her but I think I may die before she does.. I am 75 and lack of sleep and my nerves are shot.. anyone have any suggestions.. please ?
