Hi! I'm new to this board! I have two cats:

Jables: 4 years old, Bengal/Tabby cross. When Petland in Canada was still selling Kittens, my husband an I would go in to buy crickets for his tarantula. Naturally, being a cat lover, I would always go to visit the kitties. One day there was a litter of 6 or 7 Bengal cross kittens, all but one of them were the Bengal standard black & orange spotted, and one was white and grey spotted, and smaller than the rest. Over the course of a few months we watched all of the other kittens get adopted, but not the silver 'runt'. Because he was half Bengal, Petland was asking a ridiculous amount of money for him ($400), and no one wanted a Bengal X that wasn't typical Bengal colors. One day we went in and saw him sleeping. When we approached the glass, he popped awake & started meowing and rubbing up against the glass. We decided that this poor little guy had spent enough of his kitten life locked in a cat condo, and adopted him. Here he is below (yes, he always sits like that!):

Our other cat, Kage, is an unknown breed and an unknown age. We adopted him from our local SPCA. When we first saw him, we fell in love with him. The only information that they had, was that he had been abandoned, and they suspected that he had also suffered some abuse by a man, as he was terrified of men, but fine with women. I fell in love with him right away, regardless of his ratty coat and seeming emaciation, poor guy had barely any meat on his bones. They sat my husband and me in a room with him, and let us interact with him. As we expected, we was fine & purring with me and cowering & unsure with my husband. We brought him home anyways. He is now fully healthy with a beautiful coat, and much to my chagrin, he loves my husband more than he loves me. But that's okay  Here is Mr. Kage, laying on Dad's lap...of course:
