Just a quick introduction:

I'm just now beginning to look into cat ownership (been a dog person my whole life); I need all the help I can get -- from the basics on down.

Fell in love with a few kittens and young cats at my local shelter just yesterday, trying not to make a rash decision and learn everything I can before I bring one home. :grin:

Welcome! You sound like me.... I have had dogs my entire life, and two years ago I fell in love with a sweet little stray cat. I had no clue what I was doing but it wasn't hard to adjust to having a cat in my life. I've learned a lot! I only wish I had adopted cats sooner... I had no idea I would love them as much as my dogs.
