Help, I have had my cat for about two years and just recently he has been peeing on my carpet. He has a spot where he urinates immediatly in front of his litter box. I clean his box daily, its the same litter I have always used, and there have been no changes in our environment. Why is he doing this? Please give me some advice.

Was your cat neutered?
It's a bit late,but if he hasn't been neutered it could be the usual spraying thing.

Yes he is neutered. He is about 7 years old, could it be age?

might be a UTI. if it continues, you should see a vet.

Absolutely, he should be checked by a vet. UTI is very common in this age range.
