Hoping someone can help - I noticed a red dot in the same place inside both ears on my cat, Bert. He's mostly an indoor guy but goes on our patio only when we are out there as well and stays close to us. We only have the one cat. His ears look pretty clean besides this spot. Nothing else out of the ordinary - behavior seems normal, no excessive scratching, etc... Can anyone help point me in the right direction or should I take him in?

From what I can see it doesn't look serious....if there's no swelling around the dot, then it isn't infected, but you could put on a little dab of Polysporin just in case. It's possible Bert scratched himself with his own claws on his hind leg because it was itchy? It is odd that it's in both ears in the same spot.
