Hi, I am new here! Seeking answers for my kitty Luna who has tapeworms but also having eye trouble and wondering if tapeworms can cause problems with the eye. She will be seeing a vet tomorrow hopefully.

Welcome! I don't think tapeworms affects the eye at all as tapeworm is usually confined to the digestive tract. What kind of eye trouble is she having?

Hi Kittenlatte and welcome. From what I've learned, tapeworms are carried by fleas, so you'll need to make sure to eradicate any fleas along with the worm treatment. I don't know of any connection to eye trouble. Best to let the vet look at it. My Lickorish recently had conjunctivitis which required drops twice a day. Some eye crustiness can be caused by herpes virus. You can treat that with l-lysine. Its not a cure, but keeps the virus from reproducing.
