We got a puppy back in May, a 5 month old Yorkshire Terrier. We crate trained her. It was the first time I'd tried crate-training, but after trying it with her, I will never train another way.

Here are some links on crate-training:

Do you have any pictures of your puppy?

puppy breaking

We just got a choc lab puppy (8 weeks also) and male. lol. It's hard, but golden retrievers learn really fast. I've had my lab puppy for about a week and have already taught him to come when i clap and to fetch the ball. I did both of these in one day! it's crazy...now the biting and chewing is another story.

You just have to be persistant. If he goes potty on the floor, do not punish him unless he's right in the process. Because most likely you'll be coming home and he'll come to great you and if you punish him, he won't have a clue. and lots of outside breaks 8O

good luck and congrtulations with your new puppy!
