How do you greet or say goodbye to your cat?

I have a routine everyday of saying the same things to the cats when I am leaving and coming in from work. When I leave I always say "be mommy's good girls". When I come home I always say " hey pretties, are you hungry".

Puma follows me around the house, so it is so sad when she is sitting there watching me leave. So when I leave I tell her "By baby girl, I will be back soon" and when I arrive back home she doesn't care what I say as long as I pet her and give her kisses, but I usually will talk in baby talk and say, "Hi Puma girl"

We usually give Assumpta an explanation of where we're going and what time we'll be home. When we get back, she runs to the door and rolls all over the place while we tell her how glad we are to see her and how gorgeous she is. Catgeeks, that's what we are.

I'll make it a point to pet my kitties on their heads and tell them "Bye, be good, don't create trouble today, ger!". I will get looks that indicate "what's the prob, I'm always good!" :D

When I reach home, it will be a kiss on their foreheads. With my X-Siamese, Greedy, I would be rewarded with a loud cheerful 'meow' whilst my black kitty will give me that kind of "I'm sleeping, don't disturb" look. What a homecoming!

I just try to sneak out of the house without them noticing.
I think Vequi gets mad whenever I do that. Sometimes, I'm at home but at a different room from where she may be sleeping, and when she wakes up, she screams like crazy as in this human of mine did it again; he abandoned me while I was asleep.

When I leave, I often look at Punky and say, "Punky, you're in charge." Then I look at Elly and say, "Elly, Punky's in charge... no parties."

If they come to see me when I come home then I pet them one at a time... a lot of times they're sleeping on the bed so I seek them out.

Leaving:

*Counting heads*, "good, everybody's here, you all be good now, ok? I'll see you soon, I'll see you soon."

Returning:

"Hi Kayla! Hi Ginza! Hi Mozart! Where's Pixie? Where's Pixie? Oh, there's Pixie, hi pretty girl! Hi, hi, hi, hi, my sweeties! What were you doing? Were you all good?"

Padunk - LOL. I do the same when I leave. Well, almost. I only put one cat in charge.
When I leave I give them a kiss on their head and say Bye L'il, Bye Lozie, Bye Wellington. Bye guys. Be good. L'il is in charge.

When I get home I squeal "L'IL"!! Because he is always right by the door. He knows the beep from my car lock and he always comes running to the door no matter where he is. Then I go, "LO-ZIE! What the h*ll are you doing?!" because she always goes right up to L'il, MEOWS, then proceeds to bite his neck. It never fails.

I say "I'll be back later. I love you." He's usually already in one of his chairs with back turned on me, he knows when I'm getting ready to go somewhere.
On Sundays, the only day I work, he starts his 'attitude' before I even get up! He's almost always someplace where I can't see him but I still say the same thing before I leave.
I'm always greeted at the door with a meow sound different than all others. I say "Give me kissy's" and once I'm down close enough, he kisses me with his nose on my lips. :luv

i make srue daizy is in the living room and has her blanket andi tell her that we(i) will be back soon and to be good. She usually just looks at me like " mom leave already so you can get back sooner" when i come home depending on if she is home alone or if the hubby is home with her i get two reactions. while home alone its "why are you waking me up?" and when hubby is home she hears my car alarm being set runs to the door sits and meows until i come in, then she and i talk for a few min and she goes on her merry little way. strange kitty......but so sweet sometimes!

Leaving: I go to Kitty's bed and give her a kiss on the head with a, "By Kitty, be a good girl." Then I locate Thomas, and he either gets a kiss on the head or a quick pet depending on where he is and a, "By Thomas" and a stern, "YOU be NICE today!". Then just before I close the door I yell in, I'll see you later.

Coming Home: "Hi Guys, Hi Thomas, Were you good today?, Hi Kitty...I missed you...just a second!!!!!!" (Because Thomas wants to be picked up, he tries to climb me, and Kitty wants dinner)

I tell my sister, when I get home from work, Thomas wants to see ME and Kitty wants to see FOOD. :D And she tells me, yeah, and look who I cater to! Kitty.
