How frequently to change out okocat litter?

I’ve been using swheat scoop and got worried when I read about aflatoxins so I am trying out okocat super soft. I scoop at least twice a day. Sometimes more often, it’s my habit to check the litter box anytime I’m in the basement. With swheat scoop I changed it out completely every two weeks, because that’s when it was starting to make my nose wrinkle when scooping. It’s half swheat scoop, half okocat and we are at that 2 week mark today and all I smell is wood.

How long can I go before changing it? Does no stink really mean it’s clean or is it just misleading me and it really does need changing. I read that wood litter has anti bacterial properties but not sure how true that really is?

Most litters, recommend changing every week...However, if you're scooping as often as you say, I'd say two weeks?
If the cats are using the boxes, with no avoidance issues, you're probably doing something right!
I also keep unscented baby wipes, for cleaning any 'shot' overs!😉
Good Luck!

Okocat says their litter can last 7 weeks but that seems a bit extreme. I waited 3 weeks last time and it still seemed clean and only smelled like wood. I might experiment a little but I do know my kitty doesn’t like a dirty box and I don’t like discovering that he objected to it.
I also keep a pack of unscented wipes near by but it’s usually used to wipe the dust from the swinging litter box door so Nibs doesn’t get it on his head! Everything I buy claims to be 99% dust free so I can’t imagine what “dusty” litter is like.
