After all I've read about wet vs dry food I've pretty much decided I'm going to be feeding my kitty wet food when I bring her home (tomorrow!).

She's a small kitty, only 8 pounds which for her size is a bit on the chubby side. I'll be feeding her the grain free high quality wet food. How much should I be feeding her?

A 5.5-6 oz can per day is usually recommended for a 10lb cat. I'd give her a little less than a can per day and see how it goes. Sometimes just getting off a high carb dry food and switching to wet is enough to drop the weight off.

Investing in a baby scale might be a good idea so you can monitor her weight loss better.

Miu is about 7 pounds. Just for your reference, I feed her 2 oz of wet food for breakfast, 1.4 oz of raw for dinner and 0.3 oz of dry for bedtime snack. She's not fat and this seems to be a good diet for her high energy level.
