I currently feed my cats canned with some dry food just in case I'm not home at dinner time.

Mistletoe takes at least an hour to eat all of her canned food. She eats some and then walks away and then eats some and walks away. It's 1/4 of a can of Wellness, the big can. The problem is that the kitten will be moving out of the bathroom and living in the same space as Mistletoe. The kitten will eat Mistletoe's food if she doesn't. The kitten is a PIG!!

Any suggestions on getting Mistletoe to eat her canned food faster. I tried a new type of canned food and she eats it at the same pace.
Thanks!

Coco is the same way. He is EASILY distracted, and would rather watch headlights, bugs, birds, etc outside the window, then eat sometimes. I also found that he won't / doesn't like to eat if he just woke up. He needs to be active for a while before he will eat good. If you are getting home and your cats have been napping, let them wake up first and see if that makes any difference. His brother Wittle is good to go anytime, anyplace. If I am around them when they eat, Wittle won't go straight after Coco's leftovers. He will *shrewdly* appear as if he is eating from his own dish, but if I don't pay close attention (and who always does at 3:30 am?) he will quickly pounce on whatever Coco didn't finish.

Good luck and share what you find out.
