Hello all,

We've been a foster home for shelter kittens and sick cats (and dogs and puppies) for several years. We have fostered more than 120 kitties, but we have just two cats of our own.

One of them is a TNR boy we brought with us when we moved from the city to the suburbs. He was part of a trio we TNRd, one passed away while we still lived in the city and so only two made it to the easy life in a big yard. The older boy passed away last week and now our only TNR boy is miserable and crying. I'm looking for advice on getting him a friend and will post in the feral section about that.

Our other guy started out as a senior foster with the worst calici virus I've ever treated. We kept him to make it up to him for torturing him with syringe feedings when he apparently wanted to be dead. He's been with us for five years now and we have yet to notice an ounce of gratitude :-?

In a few weeks we'll start with foster kittens for kitten season. But for now, that's us.

Congratulations! Kudos to you for fostering so many kitties.....sorry to hear about your "ungrateful" boy...maybe every time you see him, you give him a tiny treat, or cheek or chin rub if he'll let you.
Oh, thanks. He is quite friendly--he just regards us as rather dim servants, in true cat fashion. "Of course you saved me" he seems to say; "I am, afterall, ME."

Cute! That sounds about right....
