Ok, my cat just went in for her rabies shot today and when we got home she was acting a bit strange, i dont know if its because of the shot or maybe shes going into heat again because shes not fixed yet and i planned to get her fixed this week. well just a few minutes ago i picked her up and took her to the bathroom with me and sat her on the sink and she made a really mad sounding meow and she lifted up her butt and she had spewed chocolate milk colored liquid out of her vagina, i dont know if cats have their periods or what, but im sorta confused and shes done it like 3 times and its too late to call my vet. someone please tell me shes okay and that its normal because im concerned for her. Thanks in advance

I am really sorry I cant help more! I dont think many of the experts are online right now :? I think this should be in the cat emergency section to, but I cant move it there. I am sure one of the mods will move it when they return online!
Does your cat display any other strange behaviors? Is there any pain?

I would call the vet in the morning. Most vets have an answering service and can usually have a vet call back or something. Also if your vet happens to not be this kind of vet, I would call all around and see if anyone is open and maybe ask the person who answers the phone to ask a vet if they can tell you if it is period or infection. I've had female cats before and I didn't see them have periods. I did see a little blood drip a few spots only right after giving birth but that was it and it was only 1 or 2 little spots. If she is an inside cat and hasn't been in contact with a male and cannot be pregnant I'd be a little worried as to what is happening. I don't mean to scare you or anything but I've never heard of anything like this happening before. I would suggest you call a vet even if its not your regular vet to see if she can get checked out. Also if she does it again maybe you can take a sample of it with a qtip and put it in a baggy. It may sound gross but it may help the vet if they can see a sample of it so they know. Keep us posted. Take care!! :)
