Well this morning I let my cat out, and noticed his mouth wasn't all the way shut, so I looked at him and saw that his mouth was wet. I then opened his mouth and noticed that his bottom fang tooth is missing, and the other fang tooth is so crooked to the side he can't close his mouth. And when he does his top tooth is hitting the fang tooth and there banging against once another, I don't notice any blood or anything I thought maybe he got into a fight or something. I'm afraid he won't be able to eat so I fed him some milk. He's not crying or anything. So when his bottom tooth falls out, I'm hoping it does, he will have no teeth on the bottom anymore. Will he still be able to eat. I'm so upset, I don't know what happened. Any advice will be greatly appreicated.

Cats can act as if they're not in pain. Cats purr when they die. My cat, thunder, had his leg almost torn off. But he came home dragging it behind like it didn't bother him. My other cat, Socks, came home without a tail. She acted like she wasn't sick until the vet gave her meds to help her, lol. Think it took her a while just to notice how much pain she really was in. Then she was plain miserable. She also didn't act sick after she was spayed. Different cats react different ways to pain.

Not to be rude, but you asked for advice and you got it. Call a vet.

If you broke one of your teeth and it didn't hurt (yet), would you ask other people what to do or would you make an appointment with a dentist? I'm sure you love your kitty very much, and that love also includes responsibilty to do something for your cat when it gets hurt. Even if money is tight, you can still call a vet and ask for medically sound advice from a professional.

As whats been said you asked for advice, been given it, and you dont want to follow it?

Anyway a few years ago i had a serious ear infection, i had to have a procedure done on my ear while i was fully consious (cant spell lol) anyway it hurt like **** the whole time thru, i cried and i was 17 at the time! But even then after it was done i walked out the the room it was done, right into reception to make my next apointment for the dressings to be changed, and i colapsed, basically it was thru shock and the pain, and i was taken into hospital after that. My point is tho take you cat to the vet right away as medication can prevent this type of thing, also if the tooth was knocked out there may well be a small chip/and/or the root still attached which can either rot in the gun, and cause an infection, or later in time cause a lot of pain for ur cat.

Who ever said I wasn't take anyone's advice, I'm just upset and hoping there's another way out. Even though I know there isn't. If I didn't want anyone's advice I wouldn't have posted my concern.

In a little while I"m going home and going to take him. Hopefully things will be ok.

Good morning everyone. Here is an update on my kitty. He is fine. I went home checked his mouth and everything is ok. He's as happy as can be. He was sitting next to me this morning, when I was waiting for my ride to work. Just don't understand why he lost his tooth. No drooling or anything so I think he is fine. If you want to see what my kitty looks like I have one posted under stripes.

Everyone thanks for you concern and care for my kitty, I was pretty upset.
