I had to bathe our new arrival earlier this week. She came to me infested with fleas, which I took care of with medication and a flea comb, but still had to bathe her because she stank and had flea poop all over.

I bought a flea shampoo to use on her, but at the last minute decided against using it because I didn't like the way it felt and didn't want to over-medicate her.

So I ended up using my own shampoo (which the vet had previously said would be okay). I had only used that shampoo once myself, so I wasn't really used to the smell yet. Now that smell became "Amy's smell." Since then, every time my hair is newly washed and I take it down, I think she's nearby because I can smell "her," but really, it's just my hair...

Liz (my first cat) smells great just naturally, but Amy (new cat) needed help from my shampoo. Now they both smell good. Hopefully once Amy has been on a proper diet for a while, she'll start to smell as good as Liz on her own.

My cat Leo smells like litter when ever I pick him up boom i have to go in a shower because i smell like litter. LOL
