5 days. I was so happy until this was planted in my mind.

My kitties don't really love me, it's just Stockholm Syndrome. :?

Way to ruin my day anonymous internet poster.

At least you'll all suffer with me now.

Have you ever thought that you might be the one with Stockholm Syndrome? ;) Couldn't be happier though, right?

Exactly! Teddy did the same. I was just visiting to see if Bengals bothered my allergies or not and he adopted me and talked me into getting a new apartment where he could come with me.

How could you ever resist this face?

FYI, the breeder had to keep him in a large cage cause he wasn't neutered when I picked him out. Those are the bars you are seeing.

Congrats on the no-smoking.

As for Cats have Stockholm Syndrom, puh-leese! It's the other way 'round. Aren't we the ones catering to their every whim and desire? They pretty well get what they want and WE sacrifice our time, "nice" things, having friends over, lots and lots of money.

Its the whole PETA argument that having animals as pets is like making them slaves. Hardly! I'm the slave here. I make all my decisions around my pets. I cater to them. They torture me...I get woken up hourly, Ninja attacks my feet randomly and licks my eyelids. If I get something "nice" that I really like, they ruin it somehow. I can't have lots of people over. I spend more on pet food than my own food and my house has more pet furniture than people furniture. I could go on.

Stockholm syndrome.....sheesh!

I don't think we're making them slaves; that would imply that they're somehow providing some kind of service or work, which they're clearly not. :) However, I'm guilty of thinking of them as prisoners. Whenever I mull over whether I should take the lenient or nonlenient approach to something he does, I say to myself -- you've made him a prisoner in your home. The least you could do is indulge him in ... (state your indulgence). Does anyone else feel like that?

Nah, I wouln't think of mine as prisoners. That's when they were in the cages at the humane society.

BTW congrats on being smoke-free. Just think of all the money you'll be saving.
