I wonder if I'm alone with the fact that my brain usually takes 2 or 3 days to process information to incorporate it into dreams.
Usually if people see scary stuff, there's the common assumption that they'll have nightmares that night. However, for me it's usually a few days afterward. For instance, I watched the trailer for that new Nutcracker 3D movie on Monday. Last night I had a dream about mice and rats...and I'm sure it was related to seeing the Rat King and his minions a few days ago.
This also goes for good stuff, too... I have dreams about fishing a few days before or after going on a fishing trip - but never the actual night of the event.

Anybody else have a delay in dreams from daily experiences?

I usually have dreams the night after I watch a movie or do something. One day, when I was younger, I spent HOURS rollerblading all over the neighborhood. I swear I spent that entire night rollerblading in my dreams... with a few odd things thrown in there. Can't remember what though.
