I have 2 very loving indoor cats thats are both comepletely litter trained and until now have always used the litter tray

For 2 years they have been kepy inside and until recently have not been allowed outside at all but just recently i have allowed them to venture outside with my supervision. the of them now constantly meows to be allowed out and he has also started unrinating indoors and not in the litter tray.

my initial thoughts are

1- he is protesting and showing he is agry at not being allowed out
2- coincidental
3- something he does oor eats when outside causes it

what do you think is the real reason?

and what would you do to combat it?

have never had any trouble with him urinating in the house before and they are both completely adored and have 100% attention at all times. want to know what it is in case he is trying to tell us something

The most common reason a cat starts urinating outside the box is due to urinary tract issues, either an infection or crystals. So the first step would be a vet visit.
