We have a wonderful female cat. She is 1 1/2 years old. We recently (2 weeks ago) adopted a male cat from the humane society. He is the same age. Although at first we did not do the introduction correctly. Which we later found out. We started over and are slowly re-introducing them. The male stalks the female and has attacked her a few times. He actually jumps on her and fur starts flying. We are so upset when this happens. Our female cat is non-confrontational so we don't understand why the male is so bothered by her. We are considering returning him, but really don't want to. He is so loving to us. Any hope these 2 will ever bond??

Welcome!

It's not too late to start completely over, keeping them separated and following these guidelines:

Cat-to-Cat Introductions | Little Big Cat

I used baby gates (3 stacked on top of each other) - when you get to that point of the intro. They shouldn't be together at all right now.
