un-popped popcorn to the birds and squirrels? I found a whole bottle of it at the back of one my cabinets & I'm never gonna pop it because (1) I'm too lazy to bother and (2) I only use micro popcorn these days. I hate to throw away any kind of food if the critters outside can eat it.

Remember how they stopped throwing raw rice at weddings because they found out that after the birds ate it their poor little stomachs blew up (because rice expands so much after it's cooked). [Or is that an urban legend] :?:

unpopped popcorn needs heat and oil to pop. I dont think the animals will like it really, and if they do it should be safe for them.
It also makes for good art projects, a mosaic of corn  just like in kindergarten
