I have a spayed female that is about 3 years old, and she has this little "quirk" that I'm curious about. She will simulate spraying on things, trees, bushes, couch, dog, anything. She'll stand there, shake her tail and step in place with her hind legs, but the thing is, there is abosolutley nothing coming out. Is she truely a "nut case" like I have believed all this time, or is she actually doing something? :?:

Thanks for any info,
John

Spayed cats usually will not spray, however, some do. It's not that unusual what you describe though. One of mine, Callie, was spayed late Janurary this year and afterward she still sprayed for a couple weeks. Now she is kinda doing what your cat is doing. She will twitch her tail, but nothing is coming out. I believe it's a fairly normal thing for cats to do, some cats anyways. As long as nothing comes out, I'm happy!
